I often get asked how I keep up with the latest in AI. I’ve found that there's too much spam or AI-generated content on LinkedIn to filter through these days. Instead, I primarily use Substack, an independent news platform where you can subscribe to individual journalists or teams. I've included some of my favorite AI substacks below, ranging from broad overviews of the space to news about very technical AI advancements.

This is one of my personal favorites, and an excellent monthly guide to AI. They cover everything from geopolitics to big tech AI strategy, technical research advances, and startup news.
This is also one of my personal favorites and one of the industry gold standards for tech reporting. While nominally focused on semiconductors, they have extremely in-depth articles on many topics ranging from robotics to AI. For example, their recent reports on AMD GPUs led to an audience with the CEO and extensive follow-on work by AMD.

They have a LOT of content which is quite approachable to newcomers.

This is also a relatively technical overview of AI advancements, but includes some big picture analysis.

This is again fairly technical but almost always includes comparative analysis between several competing companies or service providers.
https://gradientflow.substack.com/
They cover both technical AI advances and industry news, but focus on deep dives rather than headlines.
